The band are moving forward with rehearsals and are also working
hard to get the new CD out in time for the Summer. As mentioned we
would love to see you all at Hachfest in July. It's in aid of
charity and there will be many other bands to experience as well and
we are hoping for some more live dates to come forward soon, so
maybe some nearer you.

As well as the new album "Convergence" in the pipeline
we can confirm a live date at the Hachfest Festival 2008. Please see

March 2007
A big welcome is in order for Jane Cosserat our new singer and
Lonnie Grooby our new drummer.
We have two new distributors:

Not only have we found a keyboard player to die for in Nick
Reynolds, we've also found a bass player of outstanding ability
in Nigel "seb" Coe !!! which makes us nearly complete as a
band.
Wanted like yesterday an "OUTSTANDING FEMALE LEAD
SINGER" so come on ladies drop us an email, you know you want
to!!

Thanks goes to Dragutin in Bosnia, who will playing some of our
tracks on his radio program The Jeans Generation http://www.radio-tuzla.com/
Our cd has continued to find friends around the world with web
sites, magazines and radio stations in Belguim, Serbia, Italy,
Argentina and Brazil and continues to sell steadily on http://www.sonicbond.com/
That should do us for now, have a good xmas!
New Release
Colin's first solo project will be called 'water of divinity'
should be available some time in March so watch this space for the
release date!!!!
On the band front we have finally found a exceptional keyboard
player!!!!! and oh joy of joys! he said yes to joining the band.
After 2 years of searching that's one major head ache out of the
way. So bass players where are you hiding your turn next.

Good news on the CD front for all our European friends, the CD is now listed with Musea Records one of the
best music distribution sites on the continent and if you live in
Wisbech go to Music Box Records Norfolk St Wisbech,
they will be more than happy to sell you a copy!
Also if you live in Mexico have a listen to http://www.bajaprog.org/ they will be featuring
some of our tracks over coming weeks.
The Band
After a traumatic summer, we will be reforming Kara with a new
base around the north cambs/norfolk area so if you know any good
keyboard players and bass players around here looking for a home
please email us.

JULY 2006
Many thanks to Vic Morgan of BBC Radio Devon for playing one of
our tracks during July.
"bad news time" due to circumstances
beyond our control we have also had to pull out of the c r s gig on
2nd september. Apologies to anyone coming along to see us pulling
out was the last thing we wanted to do!! We will be back on the
circuit stronger and better next year!

Kara are looking for a good keyboard player, with good musical
training and if possible (not essentially) the ability to play
another instrument. Please contact Kara if you would be
interested. Ideally you would need to be located within
Herts,Beds,Cambs\Norfolk borders.

Good news for any fans in the Glasgow area, we've just been
booked to play at Kilsyths International Carnival on Sunday 13th
August.
For our American friends our CD "Kara - The Album" is
now available at http://www.bigballoonmusic.com/ at a good price
check them out!!!
April saw us listed in 9th position on
GFT's best sellers list and since release in Feburary the album has
stayed around 5/6 on Sonic Bond's best sellers list.

thanks to Jean Francois Petit at Musical Box Radio TSF 98 Caen
France who played some tracks off the album during May.

During March we have had some exceptional reviews/feedback
regarding "Kara - The
Album", check out our new reviews
page!
Our CD will also be listed during April with http://www.gft-cyclops.co.uk/ and has sold well
during the first two months, to all those who have brought the album
so far "thanks a lot and a big hug"!!!
We have now decided to
keep Kara as a four piece band with the addition of Mike
Greenwood and a bit of juggling around of instruments i.e.
"throwing them up in the air, who ever catches em plays em" only
kidding folks!

More tour dates for your diary!
We will be supporting Ashtar, a great brazillian rock/celtic band, on
their European Tour at the Riga Club Southend on 21st July. - Due to
circumstances beyond our control we have had to pull out of Ashtar
gig apologies to anyone who intended to come to Southend to see
us!

available through the Classic Rock Society rock shop as well as our own

CD News
Thanks to all who have already ordered and waited patiently for
said item to arrive, we should get delivery around the 2nd February
and all will be sent ASAP after that date. For a great review of the
album go to Sonicbond they also list it as well!
Band News
Great news on the band front - at last we're complete!!! During
January, Mike Greenwood has joined us on Bass. He is an exceptional
player and his biography and picture will be posted later in
February.
Tour News
The first gig of the year also on tour page with
more details to follow! We will be supporting the Tangent at HLC
Rotherham in September.

2006. Paul is having us in for an interview and a showcase of Kara - The
Album.

Just a quick update to say that the album will be going to master
in the next few weeks (for the millions out there waiting for
one!)
August 2005
For all those that have called to find out about when we are
playing next we hope it will be from November to support the new CD.
We also hope to be very busy in 2006. If you would like us to update

June 2005
Kara now have a bass player in the form of Mr Paul Davis and so
we hope to be playing in the Autumn alongside the release of our CD.
Sorry that the guest book is not working. It will hopefully be
operational by the end of the week, soon to be replaced by a better
looking site full stop. Pictures of Paul will be up soon. There will
also be a longer section of the demos as I think feedback would
suggest they're are a little too short.
April 2005
The band would like to thank a great audience at the HLC on
Saturday 16th. We were bowled over with your enthusiasm and
generosity and we'd love to come and play for you again sometime
this year - with a bass player as well. Many thanks also to CRS
staff\Dave Kennedy. Danny from HairlessHeart and to Magenta for not
only playing fantastic set but also being a nice crowd to play
under.
We had some enquires about a CD and we are putting this together
over the Summer, so we'll most certainly keep you posted and also
keep you updated of any confirmed gigs over the summer.
As a foot note we also awaiting a photo of Andy which is why he's
not with us on the front page, so it's not an engineered
oversite.
